I was driving between Richland Washington and Portland Oregon along I-84 when I passed a tree farm with its acres of symmetrically planted poplar trees. As it was March and the trees had yet to get their spring leaves, the effect was one of overwhelming starkness.
The sun was high in the sky and very overcast giving a uniform light with a hint of red and no shadows. I wanted to convey the sense of the endless corridors of lined trees. There was also a very subtle hue change as you looked further into the grove. I was hopping to capture both the grandeur and the subtle lighting.
